Sitting on the Board of several Native Title PBC's over several decades, Donovan gives his life's blood to the cause of his people, heavily involved with the Land Councils, Language and Interpretive Centres, Kimberley Law and Culture Centre (Board and Exclusive Red Shirt Group) and always supporting the Stolen Generation, Anthropology, Archival, Preservation of Culture and Cultural Dreaming 'Songline' Mapping.
As a Negotiator Donovan was Lead Mining Negotiator of his own people's Land Claim 'TJURABALAN' with the Tanami Gold NL 'Coyote' Mine - This Agreement was compared to the best Agreements across Australia at the time by an Expert Professor in the field who noted its Strength and Innovation, putting it in the Top 1 or 2 Best Agreements on ANY Aboriginal Land in Australia.
